K-Pop (Korean Pop) is a genre of music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture. Enhypen is a boy band of 7 members. In this music box set, I wanted to show the theme about emotional growth, adapting to a “new world,” ability, and transformation.

Process & Explorations
In this project, I designed a music box set for my favorite band, Enhypen, as an anniversary collection. The set combines branding, publications, systems, and packaging design. This is another super fun project as I got to design for my idols and that their fantasy concepts are intriguing to work with. As I have known the group since their debut and been listening to all their songs, I was able to use my knowledge and understanding quickly in my design. In this opportunity, I learned more about the group by actually researching them. I got a clearer sense of their stories, which led to my decision of sorting out three song lists for my CDs. My target audience are Enhypen fans, Engenes, and I think this project is a perfect gift as it’s also the band’s anniversary at the time. I decided to do the theme of dimensions, transformation, and adaptation, which are often seen in Enhypen’s music and concepts. Revising this project, I rethought about my cover type transparency, lockups and variations, catalog layouts and levels of hierarchy. I redesigned my box format to be a smaller container stacking the CDs and catalog together, because I want my viewer to reveal them one by one in order, like going in and out of different dimensions.
