Magazine

Living Cuisine is a magazine about food and people. I designed an East Asia Edition, which includes two articles and one special interview section. Revising this magazine, I considered the content and meaning of the articles and tried to represent them differently and more appealing. Since this magazine is about food and people, I included photos of people interacting with the food and farmers who grow wheat for rice, for instance. Simplifying the typefaces and layouts helped the magazine look more united overall, focusing on the gradient theme. I was able to expand my composition more compared to the original edit. I enjoyed exploring different ways and display typefaces for the opening spreads. I also really like how the interview spreads look so much better and cleaner now.
